This year it was held in moonlight on Saturday 31st October (night event) & torrential rain on Sunday 1st November (SOL 7) at Beecraigs and Witch Craig Wood, nr, Linlithgow, West Lothian.

Final event in the Scottish O League for 2009 and the Day event for the Tinto Twin Trophies. Trophies awarded to age classes M/W14 and upwards for combined results Night and Day.

Badge event held on Saturday night followed by the Tinto Twin Day Badge Event the following morning. Combined results allow individual competitors to be eligible for the Tinto Twin Trophies which are awarded in age classes from M/W14 upwards.

Tinto Orienteering Club was formed in 1987 to serve the needs of orienteers in the Lanarkshire area, particularly around Lanark and Biggar. Tinto is a small family orientated club with members of all standards.
